Pakistan security forces abduct two individuals from Gwadar in Balochistan

Balochistan: Pakistani security forces have allegedly detained two individuals in Pasni tehsil, Gwadar, Balochistan, with their whereabouts still unknown, the Balochistan Post reported. One of them is Levies officer Qais Nisar, who was reportedly taken from his home by plainclothes officers after being physically assaulted. However, Qais Nisar’s mother has pleaded for his release, stressing that her son, a government employee, is not indulged in any criminal activities.

Karim Bakhsh, another individual, was also reportedly seized from his home the same night under similar circumstances. These abrupt disappearances add to the rise in number of forceful abductions in Balochistan, as recent reports reveal around 58 such cases this month alone.

The Balochistan Post reported  in another incident that Pakistani forces are said to have detained a man named Dawood, son of Abdul Qadir, while he was doing Isha prayers at a mosque in the Sari Koran area of Panjgur on March 6. This has enraged further protests against enforced disappearances in the region.
On the other hand,Locals in Panjgur have been holding a sit-in on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) highway for the past three days, demanding the release of missing individuals, as reported by the Balochistan Post.

Despite protests, new cases of enforced disappearances continue to rise, escalating concerns about human rights violations in Balochistan. The situation has sparked the need for accountability and an end to the ongoing abductions.

Recently, three Baloch individuals have been forcibly abducted by Pakistani security forces in Barkhan, a district in Balochistan. According to the Balochistan Post, the victims included a retired teacher, a retired doctor, and a local resident.

The abduction of Baloch individuals in Pakistan, especially in Balochistan, remains a serious issue. The Baloch community faces intense oppression by state security forces, leading to extensive fear and growing worries regarding the safety and human rights of the people in the region.
