Shashi Tharoor’s Future in Congress amid deepens rift with Leadership

Amidst controversy spreads on the internet, prominent Congress leader and MP from Thiruvananthapuram shared a latest post on X with Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and British Secretary of State for Trade Jonathan Reynold, sparked a new rift between him and the grand old party.

According to sources, Mr. Tharoor, four time MP has expressed interest in becoming Kerala’s chief minister. This speculation sparked a farrago for his existence in the coming future in the party. This approach developed amid reports of Tharoor facing backlash from the party leader praising Modi and the Kerala LDF government’s industrial policy.

This situation puts the Congress authority in a difficult situation, as they face potential consequences of losing their prominent face ahead of crucial state elections. Party high commands are absolutely silent on this matter.

In an article published in a newspaper on February 14, Tharoor praised the economic policy of the Kerala government led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan ahead of state elections. While the left party leader welcomes his comments fruitfully. Another scene is also sparked out that he commented on PM Modi appraisal by American President Donald Trump.

He voiced after the US President called the Prime Minister a “great Leader”. “He is a much tougher negotiator than me, and he is a much better negotiator than me,” the US President said.

Referring to Trump’s remarks, Tharoor said: “It sounds very good when we hear about the Indian Prime Minister as a better negotiator from a man like Donald Trump, whose defense secretary called him the greatest negotiator in the world. It seems that something PM Modi can put in the bank.”

Generally, comments are apprehensive in political rivalry but here MP Shashi Tharoor is getting attack from his party leader.
