The holy month of Ramjaan started today and will continue for one month, until March 31. The festival is one of the spiritual events for Muslims across the world celebrated every year on the appearance of the crescent moon. During the celebration, people keep fasting from sunrise to sunset every day and eat Suhoor and Iftar meals after sunset. Ramjaan will end with a celebration of Eid ul-Fitr on the last day of Ramadan when everyone meets and greets each other.
This year, the same thing has now started from today with wishes from spiritual gods and state heads. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wishes to the people. Posting on X, he stated that “Ramzan has begun, and we hope it brings peace and harmony in our society. This sacred month epitomizes reflection, gratitude, and devotion with the value of compassion and kindly services.”
Other leaders from the opposition, like Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, also extended Ramzan wishes to everyone on Saturday night. Expressing his greetings on the holy month, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi said that the festival brings a time of happiness for the people of this country.
In the sequence, J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah held a meeting with officials in the state to overview working status amid Ramjan. He ordered all the departments to provide all the access in proper ways, including electricity and other basic services, throughout the month.
Therefore, people are busy buying all the stuff ahead of the celebration of Eid ul-Fitr. The market looks crowded as devotees buy fruits and clothes to enjoy this festival. The holy month of Ramjan is always celebrated for one month, in which a person who fasts will get an Iftar meal.
