Pro-Khalistani Moments: Breaches Jaishankar Security

On Wednesday, March 5, pro-Khalistani extremists attacked the Indian minister’s convoy at the British High Commission after Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar left attending an exclusive event hosted by Chatham House, London, in collaboration with the High Commission of India. Protesters were attacked and tore an Indian flag on the official. In response, India summoned the charge d’affaires at the British High Commission following the breach of security for the external minister.

In a press briefing, the external affairs spokesperson, Randir Jaiswal, said, “There is a larger context to the incident. It is critical to understand the agenda behind the protest. It brings a different narrative and shows threats to our legitimate diplomatic activities in the UK. He added a deep concern to the UK authorities about the significant breach of security.

Earlier, New Delhi also condemned the security breach as well as the misuse of democratic freedom for separatists and extremists in the UK. According to many reports, the appearance of extremities has been seen several times on the street, opposing rules and breaching security in the UK.

The spokesperson said that they have footage of a breach of security during the visit of the external minister to the UK.

However, looking at the issues, the UK Foreign Office made a statement that they are viewing all the matters very sincerely and action would be taken against the culprit regarding previous occasions.

“We condemn the provocative activities of this small group of separatists and extremists, “he said.
