Salman Khan Receives Fresh Death Threat Amid Ongoing Security Concerns

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has received a fresh death threat, an anonymous letter demanding a ₹ 2 crore was sent to Mumbai Traffic Police earlier today. The sender threatened to assistante if the demand isn’t fulfilled.

This incident adds to a series of threats Khan has faced over the past few years, many allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In April 2024, two unidentified individuals opened fire outside Khan’s Bandra residence, an attack claimed by the Bishnoi group. Earlier, in October 2024, a WhatsApp message demanded ₹5 crore from Salman Khan, threatening that his fate would be worse than that of NCP leader Baba Siddique, who was shot dead in Mumbai.

The Mumbai Police has filed an FIR against unknown individuals and launched a thorough investigation. The 59-year-old actor has been under the Y-plus category since 2022, which includes personnel and escort vehicles, following the series of threats received. The recurring threats have raised serious questions regarding the effectiveness of current security arrangements provided to Khan.

Salman Khan became the target of Bishnoi gang’s vendetta ever since he was accused in 1998 blackbuck poaching case, which is a sacred animal for the community. Lawrence Bishnoi, the gang leader, currently incarcerated, has openly issued warnings to the actor with the intent of harming him, citing the poaching incident as the motive.

As investigations continue, authorities are exploring all angles to ensure Salman Khan’s safety and bring the perpetrators to justice. The repeated threats highlight the ongoing challenges faced by public figures in India concerning personal security.
