Who will be the next Chief Minister of Delhi?

On Thursday, people of Delhi are ready to witness their newly elected chief minister at the Ramlila Maidan, as preparations are underway to hold the function. BJP has made a landmark victory in the outgoing state legislative election on February 8.

The party will announce its CM face on February 19, after 10 days of sweeping wins. The newly elected BJP legislature party will hold a meeting inviting all the legislative members and members of parliaments at the party’s office in Delhi to elect the leader of the house in the Delhi assembly in the presence of top leaders.

Preparation for the ceremony

After declaring their CM face, the BJP will ensure a huge political gathering on the next day for the oath-taking ceremony. More than 50,000 people are expected to attend this swearing-in ceremony in the presence of party workers, RWA, a section of society, and saints in the afternoon. According to sources, this event would be 25-30 minutes long and would be celebrated across the city with drumbeats to mark the beginning of a new government.

BJP comes into power after 27 years of long droughts, hoping to bring changes and a clean river Yamuna. The stage is set for Delhi to mark a new milestone, draped in saffron hues. The iconic Ramlila Ground was chosen, as Raj Niwas would have been far too small for such a grand gathering to accommodate the massive crowd.

Who will attend the ceremony?

According to party leaders, this will be a huge mega event attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his cabinet with other top party leaders, including UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BJP President JP Nadda, Delhi LG VK Saxena, and 50 other high-profile leaders.

Outgoing Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, with her predecessor Arvind Kejriwal, will also be present. According to the source, more than 50 film stars, including Akshay Kumar, Vivek Oberoi, and Hema Malini, will also avail themselves of their presence in this grand ceremony. From the business line, notable industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani will also make this gathering more remarkable.

Who will take oath as Delhi CM?

There are several leaders in the race for the post of CM candidate in Delhi. However, some of them, who emerged as the big faces by defeating top opposition leaders, are leading the race. Pravesh Verma, who gave a shocking defeat to Aam Aadmi Party supremo and former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi constituency, is at the forefront, followed by MPs Manoj Tiwari, Ramesh Bidhuri, Kapil Mishra, and other senior party leaders like Rekha Gupta and Ashish Sood.
