Ahaan Panday, cousin of actress Ananya Panday, will make his anticipated debut in the upcoming romantic drama “Saiyaara.’ The film also stars Anita Padda as the female lead, who is known for her roles in ‘Salaam Veny’ and ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry.’ The film is directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF). This marks the first production venture for YRF’s CEO, Akshaye Widhani.

YRF made the official announcement on Tuesday through Instagram. This project also marks Mohit Suri’s first collaboration with the YRF studios. Ahaan was signed by YRF Talent about five years ago and has since undergone extensive training programs personally devised by Aditya Chopra. He has been kept under wraps to focus on honing his craft. The 27-year-old is the son of fitness expert Deanne Panday and businessman Chikki Panday.

Who is Mohit Suri
Director Mohit Suri is known for directing romantic hits like ‘Aashiqui 2’ and ‘Ek Villain,’and was impressed by Ahaan’s auditions and screen tests. Suri aims to introduce Ahaan as a classic romantic hero.

Meanwhile, Ananya Panday reshared and posted a story on her Instagram showcasing support for her brother. “Welcome to the movie my brother (red heart, folded hands, nazar and emotional face emojis),” Ananya wrote in the Instagram post.
